🔗 Share this article Battlefield 6 Gamers Are Convinced: Missions Are Overly Demanding The release of the eagerly awaited Battlefield 6 was met with broad praise, especially for its flagship multiplayer mode. On Steam alone, live player figures peaked at nearly 750,000. However, regardless of its fanfare, many players are expressing frustration over a portion of the release's hardest challenges, which are required to access certain guns. Users have commenced using custom matches made via the custom game tool to finish these tasks, emphasizing just how grueling these missions have become. Grasping Battlefield 6 Tasks Missions serve as Battlefield 6's fixed in-game challenges, different from the frequently updated daily and weekly challenges. It features four categories of assignments, but although many simply offer skins and a few gadgets, completing the weapon assignments is the exclusive means of acquiring 12 of the 41 main guns found within the game. Some of these gated guns might eventually find their way on rosters of the top weapons in Battlefield 6. Community Frustration via Reddit Over on Reddit, players are justifiably expressing their worries about how hard and tedious several of these challenges are. A particular gamer pointed out one of the most extreme examples, needed to obtain the KTS100 MK8 LMG: Suppress 300 enemies with LMGs Inflict 10,000 hipfire damage with LMGs "This challenge is so awful and entirely ill-conceived, I want to scream in frustration," is a comment that illustrates just how excessively challenging these tasks are. The suppression feature in the game is less effective than in previous titles in the series, so it lacks nearly as many positive effects in fights as it did in previous games. It only registers as suppression if you miss multiple shots in a row. At the same time, hipfiring an LMG is highly imprecise and is effective only at extremely close range, which is not usually a position you prefer to be. The commenter also noted the contradiction in the SMG challenge, required for the SCW-10, which needs takedowns using ADS, when that challenge would be far more appropriate to hipfire kills, and the other way around. Another Overly Demanding Mission Another Reddit user highlighted a further incredibly demanding challenge, within the long-range weapon type to access the PSR: Achieve 150 headshot eliminations from more than 200 meters away with long-range weapons This is difficult enough as it is, but there's an additional crucial factor to consider: the majority of Battlefield 6 maps do not even allow combat at such a long range. There's a healthy variety of map sizes, but given there are merely nine maps in the game currently, it implies you must stick to playing New Sobek City, Mirak Valley, and maybe a classic map if you're lucky if you aim to take long-range shots from beyond 200 meters. The Alternative Method However, there is a solution: the custom game tool. The custom game creator is a feature that enables you to make custom game modes on whatever map you choose, complete with bots. This allows you can cheese the system… but it isn't truly in line with the spirit of the game. But when completing the missions in a proper game seems counterproductive, since you have to play in such an atypical style that doesn't benefit you or your team, is it surprising for completing them in a custom game so allies are not impaired? Future Adjustments It should not be shocking if some of these assignments are toned down in the next few updates, because if they're not, certain gamers simply won't get their hands on the locked firearms. Currently, the community continues to voice their opinions on these demanding in-game tasks, hoping for a more balanced player experience in future updates.
